Hello class!
Every preschool class should have access to all the learning centers, for students to develop many key areas regarding their cognitive and motor skills. Nevertheless, there are certain limitations when it comes to space or resources in most of the schools.
Your objective in this entry is to think about your own classroom.
There is not enough space for you to set all the seven learning centers. Meaning you must choose only four of them that you consider to be the most relevant for children development.
Which are the four learning centers you would choose to have in your class?
- Music Center
- Art Center
- Block Center
- Writing Center
- Science Center
- Drama and Play Center
- Sand and Water Center
Explain in two or three lines the reason for each one of them you would decide to have in your class. (Minimum of eight lines for the complete comment)
Remember that opinions can not be exactly the same and your participation must be complete.
Preschool was created as a place to emphasize the development of the whole child. The classroom learning centers implemented in the right way, can be a perfect place to promote the areas of growth in children.
ResponderBorrarLearning centers are areas within the classroom where students learn about specific subjects by playing and engaging in activities. (It is something pretty important for a preschool children). They need certain strategies and skills, such as making decisions, carrying out plans, cooperating and sharing with others, and problem-solving, in order to play and learn independently.
The number of learning centers in a classroom varies with the needs of the children, the imagination of the teacher and limitations of the space. The following learning centers were the ones that I considered most important for children's learning, for a good beginning in the school life of an apprentice.
Learning centers that I would choose:
• Art or Creating Center.
It is an area pretty important for the development to the learner because they have the opportunity to imagine and try to shape what they imagined, take a risks to experiment and express their crazy and funny ideas. On the other hand build children’s self-confidents, reinforces the children’s concept of one of the functions of written language-labeling.
• Writing Center.
It must be included in the activities of every classroom every day, it is a pretty important process that should be part of their daily routine, because this center develop the four language modes and they become more open and engaged.
• Library Center.
This is one area so important for the integrality of children’s. It allow children to learn through self-discovery, it is a tool really useful, through the reading the children can learn about different system of writing, languages, encourage the critical thinking, etc.
• Music Center.
What better way to learn in a fun and rhythmic way? The uses of music center vary with every group, the children are motivated to learn by listening to funny music, having the opportunity to learn by making and listening to different sounds.

ResponderBorrarAll the centers are important, but the most important for me, are the Art Center, Writing Center, Science Center and also the Drama and Play Center.
ResponderBorrarArt Center supports children´s development in painting, drawing, and coloring, through these techniques; the children develop muscle coordination and control.
The Writing Center can help the children to develop another muscle, by giving the opportunity to start with the earliest scribbles and also, children learn how to make lines, in this way children also learn how to make simples letters.
The Science Center, in this center the children can explore and discover new things, they develop the skill of asking questions and children can experiment and test out their ideas.
Drama and Play Center, this center is very important too, is a good way for children to develop their own ideas through the imagination, and help the child to be more creative.
For me these are the most relevant for children development.
I would definitely set up the following learning centers in my classroom:
ResponderBorrar• Art Center: This center provides the opportunity for students to express themselves, to be creative and foster their imagination, while they create artistic pieces.
• Block Center: Students at this center develop social skills through sharing together, express their creativity, develop their fine and gross motor skills, as well as learning to solve problems (when building houses, buildings, etc.)
• Writing Center: I would set up not just a Writing Center, but a Reading & Writing center. A cozy area that invites my students to get interest in reading books, writing stories, their names, etc. Moreover, as teachers we got to know that reading and writing are integral to language development.
• Dramatic Play Center: Through playing, interacting to each other, acting out roles or situations, manipulating props, putting on costumes, students independently solve problems, practice their fine and gross motor skills, eye-hand coordination, and stimulates creativity and their imagination. Besides, students at this center, use the target language by pretending to be someone else or acting out (doctors, teachers, firefighters, waiters, etc.)
All the centers are important, but its obviously, we can not have all the learning centers in our classroom but I Think if I could choose some learning centers could be Art center, Writing Center, science center, music center.
ResponderBorrarArt Center because there children can discover their skills to draw, paint, decorate obviously not all children have those skills but in that center some can perfect them and another can learn.
-Writing Center this Center can be a little bored but It is one of the most important in children. In this center they can learn how they can write correct, or learn how they can do simples things in writing.
-Science center in this center they can explore new things, learn to do things they did not know, also how they can use new tecnologies.
-Music Center in this center I would teach them fun things through the music I think in this center the main idea could be the childrean know that the music apart from relaxing can teach us a lot of educatives things.
i will choose
ResponderBorrar1. Music Center: Because music is dinamic, so in the classroom we need to be creative with our tecniques to teach, the most important is children can learn, so learn with music is a good tecnique to teach, also because they can enjoy their learning.
Writting Center: This one is very important because children can improve their writting, helping them to identify and correct their grammatical errors.
Science center: This one can be an activity fun and creative, we can teach to children to explore and discover things in a funny way.
Art Center: In this one both the teacher and student can explore different things, we can teach them in a different way. Kids enjoy this tecnique and also they can play and learn at the same time.
I chose those centers because i think are the best way to teach and students can play and learn at the same time, and those are the best tings to teach them.
Learning center: this system has series steps that guide children help and develop in the center aria.according to with specific activies.with these four factor helps to the preschool easily learn the langauge.
ResponderBorrarMusic Center:the children love music and they appreciate any opportunities they have to get up and move around in the classroom,in fact.the music is the perfect way to introduce children learn the langauge.the children will have opportunity to listen to music, play instruments, and experiment with sound, and move their bodies is vital in early care environments, however, the music is part of learning center. A music and movement center can help children develop their fine motor skills with playing, drum, rhythm sticks, maracas, harmony.
Art Center: One of the really most important activities an art center for preschool help express their emotions and ideas. in addition to, Children can experience different textures and use different materials as they create their works of art.use different textures as much as paper, colors, sizes, scissors, paint, watercolors etc.these will benefic children development and improved learnig.
Drama and Play Center: the biggest impact on teacher and children´s role in the classroom,i think give children opportunities to role play as everyday situations and a variety problem they can solving with Dramatic play the creative, self-expression, also use a dramatic play to help teach children Including play sets in the learning center can also help children's sensory play experiences and encourage creativity as they use to explore their senses.
about role play, housekeeper, drenes up box, dress uo clothe, cleaning mop, ironing, cooking, the best way for the children learn with the basic activities.
Sand and water Center:In this cause, the teacher play an important role,so that, help children find answer the question easily about sand and water. children can participate in sensory play. In the other word, Children can learn about sand and water, with the activities children develop and share with others as they play with the material activities.digging, toys, such as cars, tructs, boat, sinking children discovery for themselves the math and science skils, pshycal development, social an emotion.the sand and water center play is enjoyable for the children skills, the really important is the children exploring the learning center.
In my classroom I would have the following learning centers:
ResponderBorrarArt Center: Because art gives children the opportunity to convey what they think but are not able to speak in the target language, beside through art children have the opportunity to express feeling and emotions which is very important to develop self-confidence.
Writing Center: Because Preschool is the stage of the emergent literacy, and it is very important to provide the children an area where they can explore letters and words, developing their fine motor, practicing how to use a pen and reflecting about the use and combination of letters therefore getting used to the target language in the written form
Drama and play center: Because through this learning center children are able to simulate the real world which is crucial in the language teaching process to introduce more vocabulary than the one that is used in the classroom.
Block Center: Because in the language teaching process is really important to take into account children’s schemata to facilitate the language learning process, and this learning center gives children the opportunity to learn vocabulary they already know in their mother tongue, such as number, order, shape, size, space and measurement.
I will choose the following learning centers:
ResponderBorrar1. Writing center: It is a communication center! Preschoolers can deliver their ideas through their illustrations and their printing or attempts at printing. Also the students in this area can be develop or learn this:
• Communicate their ideas through drawing and through print.
• Associate print with reading.
• Develop their small (fine) muscle skills by using the many materials available.
• Practice left to right progression in reading.
• Develop their eye-hand coordination.
2. Block center : This area also is important because block play offers preschoolers both basic skills and creative outlets. Accessories make a difference in imagination when children use blocks. In setting up a block center, preschool children will:
• Develop socio-emotional skills by sharing together in small groups.
• Increase their attention span as they build together.
• Express their creativity by creating houses, stores, animals and more with blocks.
• Develop cognitive skills such as classifying; sorting by shape, size, color and weight; and counting.
• Solve problems as they play (how can we build stairs to get to the house we just built).
• Develop their fine and large muscles (by lifting, grasping, moving and carrying blocks).
• Develop eye-hand coordination by putting blocks in specific orders or patterns.
3. Science Center: In this area we can use discovery methods used in teaching science encourage the young child to ask questions: such as "why do things work as they do?" we can locate the science center near a large window as to observe weather changes and nature. Also we have some materials to help foster that scientific approach to learning include the following:
• Bird feeder, placed near outside window
• Fish aquarium
• Magnets
• Seeds
• Thermometer
• Compass
• Shells and rocks to observe and classify
• Magnifying glass
• Home chemicals (salt, baking soda, vinegar, sugar)
4. Music center: In this area we can use music to promote a calm and peaceful atmosphere, for transition from one activity to another, to educate and to encourage movement and exercise. We can use some materials for this center:
• Tape or CD player
• Rhythm instruments
• Piano or keyboard
• Earphones (for individual listening centers)
• Selection of taped music
• Music books
• Ribbons or scarves for dancing and movement
That is something that happen in most of preschool classroom they are short of resources and they have no all these fun and educational centers that is so sad and Ho boy! If I had a classroom of P.K definitely, I would set up these four learning centers: art center, writing center, dramatic play center, and music center. Why? Well.
ResponderBorrarArt center: here I will teach to kids how express their thoughts, feelings, and also onroll many abilities which are fundamental in their develope like paint, cut, rend, wrap, manipulate things with their hands through art.that way they will develop gross and fine motor skill.
Writing center: as we know how esentiall is the ability on kids write and read in this center children will learn write and read vocabulary which they heard in their daily life, the alphabet, vowels, etc. This center all classroom must have it.
Dramatic play center: we know kids get bored easily if you are not a dynamic and funny person you should have this section inside your classroom but. This no is my case. Here I will give to them the liberty to play many rolls like a family member, an occupation, even events that happen around them like what to do if they got lost in a place?.
Music center: this one we must have it in our classroom. Because music and kids have to be together, here is where they learn words, sentences, body language and have fun. through the rythems and funny lyrics we can teach many thing like maths, science, geography even another language.
is difficult to choose because all are important, but since are only four, would choose:
ResponderBorrarMusic center: well, children love música and appreciate any opportunities they have to get up and move around in the classroom. Giving children the opportunity to listen to Music, play instruments, and move their bodies is vital in early care environment, which is why a Music center is a must have for your preschool classroom.
Art center: I like this center because preschool Art activities help children's devolpment in many areas. Art can help children to express feelings, express creativity, also they use their imaginations and encourage self-espresson.
Writing center: in preschool are a great way to encourage writing and drowing. By supplying children with the necesary tools to facilitate writing education. Supporting self-espression, exploring imagination and working on the use on fine motor skills, there are many benefits of having a writing center in a preschool classroom.
The sand and water center is a great place for young children to explore, experiment and pratice fine motor skills. Playing with sand and water helps promote development and teach math and science skills. This center provides the opportunity for children to explore with all their sense.

ResponderBorrarin my opinion I think that I would like to have all the spaces because each space is very important to development diferent skills with the kids at school but if i had to select some spaces i would like to have.
art center
because in this space they can express some ideas they can express their feelings and they can express the knowledge for the art and they can learn to appreciate and enjoy images and art they can see the pictures in different ways. also Using art tools helps children develop small muscle coordination and control. Children can practice thinking skills by experimenting with color, texture, and design. Art gives children an opportunity to express their ideas and feelings, relieves tension, and provides limits for self-discipline. Art allows children to achieve and expand their creativity.
Dramatic play center
this space is very important to have in our classroom because in thise space the kinds they can pretend to be someone like her mother or someone that they admired sometimes they tried to be teacher this center allow children to development different skills in such areas.
writing center
Is very important because the kinds can explored writing providing
opportunities to practice they own writing they can learn to write new vocabulary that they use in the class.
music center
this space is too important because the kinds can express different abilities when they sang differnt kind of music and Music centers support social interaction skills and promote creativity and they can listening different topic in each songs.
in my opinion all are very important for the development of children because each space has different skills to discover the children but in this case choose the most important spaces that should not be missing in the classroom
ResponderBorrarart center
is very important because children through this space can transmit their ideas and all their knowledge through images that express all their feelings and best of all that children will be free to express in different ways.
Dramatic play center
for me it is very important because in this space children need freedom to play a lot as members of the family and also occupations for life.
Writing center
This is very important because all children have to learn the alphabet, vowels. This center around the classroom should have it.
Music center
this space is very interesting because children learn many words through music and the best they can sing different kind of music.
I would like to choose:
ResponderBorrarArt center: Because is important for children learn about creativity, is a good area for they express their feelings and emotions in a safe way. Also thet develop perceptual abilities of colors, shapes, lines, and textures.
Block center: Because students can learn about problem solving, they develop their imagination and it offer many ways to explore, express themselves, and demonstrate what they are learning across languages.
Writing center:Because when we offer writing tools to children, they improve their fine motor skills that are necessary for future writing.
Drama and play center: Because they develop social skills while interacting with their classmates, they learn to express their feelings and critical thinking and is really important when they act physically because they also develop gross and fine motor skills.
every intelligence is important because with each children develop their skills. for that is so difficult to choose one, but concidering the space, the environmemt moreover thinking about the learning process of the children I would choose blog center, writing center, drama and play center science center .
ResponderBorrarblock center : in this space the child will be able to manipulate figures moreover be open to explore and experiment not just math concepts if not their creativity . Infact they will be capable to work as a team.
Writing center : because this is one of the most important through this the child will integrate the language development in order to to learn how express their thoughs, feelings and ideas infact this shoul be included because is one of the four skills that are develop currently.
drama center: because this is other way that the children can provite their learning process through stories or role play moreover they will be able to engage in any cognitive activity and lear to solve problems as well.
science center: with this one the students will be open to the curiosty and the professor will encorage them to observe and have their question and conclution Imean to develop the critical think as the others centers that Imentions before.
ResponderBorrarIs in preschool where we learn almost all the important things, to go to elementary school later, to learn more and more, and to keep learning. In a perfect world, we would be able to have all the centers in our classrooms, in order to our students to develop all the intelligences in a new, funny and entertainment way. But this time I can only choose the four centers which are the most important for me, and which I would set up in my own classroom.
First of all, I would set up Music Center, because music help us to increase our vocabulary, our listening, our pronunciation, our imagination, our knowledge, our creativity, and students are always having fun. Also, music makes the students more sociable, and talkative because they always have something to talk about. On the other hand, studies has showed that depending on what kind of music do you listen to, it makes you smarter and it creates a deeper, and critical thinking on you.
Secondly, I would have the Art Center. I would choose this center because I would like to my students to express their thoughts, feelings, emotions, and ideas through their art, and to share their experiences (However they want to show them). I also would like to my students to learn and to know some things related to art. However, art at this age is important because they are learning to do everything, and in this center they play with colors, symbols, shapes, figures, textures, etc.
I would also set up the Writing Center to show that to write is not boring as most of the people think. In this center students will be allowed to write about everything. Here students can share or just write about their feelings, ideas, thoughts, and experiences. This kind of center help students to increase their creativity and imagination while they are creating a character. In this center as I the other ones, we could discover awesome talents.
Last but not the least, I would set up Drama and Play Center. I am not trying to say that everything for a 4-year-old child is playing and having fun, but it is important because while the child is playing or acting, he or she is imagining, so that, this kind of center makes their creativity, and imagination increase. Also while they performance a character they are expressing the feelings of other people, so they become sensitive people. And the most important thing is that here we could find an awesome talent.

ResponderBorrarDespite the fact that all centers are important, in my opinion there are centers that we can mix and develop different skills in children with the different activities. Taking into account this, If I had the challenge of choosing four out of seven centers, I would choose:
-Dramatic center: In this center children will be able to dramatize different professions giving them the opportunity to act as musicians, teachers, etc. They are going to become physically active and more sociable.
-Science center: Gives children opportunities to explore nature and science concepts. Encourages children to participate in sensory play with different elements.
-Art center: Children can experience different textures and use different materials as they create their works of art.Children can improve their motor skills.
-Writing center: Children are going to be able to practice their reading, writing, and comprehension skills will help them express their ideas, explore their interests, and learn about the world around them.
I think all the center are very important But the ones I would include:
ResponderBorrarArt center: Because I think it is important for them to develop their artistic skills from an early age, since there are many children who have the skills to draw, paint, sing, dance and it is important for the children to understand that they have that ability and to continue to develop it in what they do.
Block center: one of the ways in which the child learns is by manipulating objects, that is why the block center is important because here children can manipulate objects and in this way learn about figures, shapes, sizes etc
writing center: it is important that the child from preschool familiarize himself with the letters, it is necessary that the child already has a writing base from the time he is in preschool so that when the student goes to first grade has an idea about writing.
Science center: The children are very curious and in preschool they are always and they are always asking the why of everything and in science they are taught a lot about interesting things and that can give many answers to the questions that the children are asked.

ResponderBorrarI will give my comment about which are the four learning centers you would choose to have in your class?
I chose these four pedagogical spaces for the following reasons:
• Music Center: In my opinion this should be one of the main centers of learning since it is the space where children develop some skills and at the same time learn different themes in a musical and creative way such as: musical instruments, sounds, theme in particular.
• Art Center: This is also an indispensable learning center since it is in which children can develop their fine and thick motor we can also emphasize learning the expression of feelings and skills individually.
• Writing Center: This is one of the basic pedagogical spaces since in this they give all type of subject as long as it is practiced of continuous form its writing that is basic in the learning in English.
• Drama and Play Center: In this space you can develop all kinds of topics as this helps with the child's attitudinal development and also puts into practice the body kinesthetic since it must be taught to use all body movements.
These pedagogical spaces help us to develop the intellectual and cognitive faculties of children as well as the way in which they should be developed in our daily environment. Taking into account the children learn any subject playing and in a creative way.
In my opinion, I think that learning center provides children the opportunity to practice fine motor skills while engaged in social interaction. The purpose or goal is to allow children to learn to focus on specific areas through plays as a teacher knows the best way they learn and achieve multiples goals. In my case, in my classroom I would like to prioritize in the arts center, writing center, science center and play center, because I believe that developing the learning in my students in these areas and the others are learning on the way, I feel that these centers are the mainstay of new knowledge in my students.
ResponderBorrar*Art center.
Art plays an essential role in learning to adapt to the child's environment. In addition to learning to paint, translate ideas through drawing, developing creativity. Art is imperative for the development of emotional creativity, eye-hand perception and coordination, fine motor development, and social interaction. I think it's a great way to teach them to understand the environment around them.
*. Writing center because these activities encourage the development of language and the self-expression of children allows them to develop skills in roleplaying, motivates to express their ideas through writing as well as interacting with the people around them. (Classmates, teachers and family members).
*. Science Center.
The teaching of science from the preschool age is important for the child as it allows them to reflect on the environment around them as well as develop the concern to discover for themselves through experimentation, creating determination in their self-esteem, since they can choose what are they want to know or discover also the science center motivates to the development of manipulating different textures, to experiment, to know and to observe, to establish and to compare differences, to verify and to raise their own anxieties developing rational and divergent critical thinking of the child.
*. Play and drama center.
It is also very important to consider that through play we can develop learning. Play center is one of the most important for the personal development of the student as it allows the general development of the personality realizing what is right and what is wrong, improving social behavior and self-esteem, plus help to express and discover their feelings as well as develop their creative potential through games, exercises and creative drama, motivating the student's spontaneous participation.

The learning centers that I would choose:
ResponderBorrar1)Music center:
In this center they can do different activities like sing, listen to music and make fly the imagination also dancing. With tjis center student can hear different sound and relate then with letters, that actually is how student learn for instance with kids if we are going to teach the vowels we are going to introduce the with songs.
2)Writing center:
This is very important because initially the student need to relate with writing because it is necesary to go developing it during the educational process and that began when teacher stimulate the fine motor with different suitable activities.
3)Sand and water:
This can be a sensory center because student identify sizes, develop their coordination and learn to cooperate with the others kids in a grupal game.
4)Science center:
This center helps to the kids to think in a critical way and know how solve problems.
Considering that from an early age the learning in preschool is where the bases and pillars are formed in the development and educational process that people will have in the course of their life, it is necessary to strengthen and promote learning centers in Kindergartens where children will acquire new skills to develop each one of them accordin with their growth.
ResponderBorrarIn my case I would choose the following learning centers:
1-Writing Center Writing center because I consider important the necesity to strengthen the linguistic intelligence as this will give the student the ability to read fluently, also a good writing, and develop areas in the brain that will give opinions, critical and analytical thinking based and knowledge acquired by the habit of reading.
2-Art Center., in this way children will have the ability at an early age to visualize between space and time figures that are difficult to understand for other people, in addition to develop skills such as learning how to paint, create, decorate, imagine and design among others.
3-Block Center this will allow the student to understand, reason and solve mathematical problems using logic in a scientific and accurate way. as result they will have the ability to use numbers easily in any area where they specialize.
4-Music Center for my music is a life style and from that point of view children have to possess a natural or learned rhythmic ability that allows them to enjoy music through playing an instrument, singing or having the ability of dancing, in that sense children will have the ability to identify musical notes, and a passion for music.
